Dar Zarrouk - Sidi Bou Saïd

Updated: Jul 6

Sensational on all fronts, we ate here four times.

Magical views of the beautiful Mediterranean Sea, the team were an absolute delight and full of fun, the food was delicious, and the drinks list was endless.

Dar Zarrouk is the perfect place for a lazy lunch in a gorgeous setting. It has a unique outdoor space in the garden, full of sunshine surrounded by beautiful gardens, with ample seating inside to enjoy your food and stunning views.

There is also a very well-designed bar with a great lounge area.

We enjoyed both divine courses, including a local specialty brik (tuna) and beef carpaccio. Followed by the mixed grill and filet steak, which also went down a treat, we were visited by the chef to ensure our meals were also enjoyed.

The drinks list has many cocktails and a pervasive wine list with some local favourites. If you are a fan of Negronis, you will be satisfied! We even ordered off-the-list espresso martinis, and they were very accommodating; as soon as they had the recipe, our cocktails arrived and were spot on!

The staff and management were ever so attentive, and we were never kept waiting; they were also lovely to chat with and joke with, and overall, we were made to feel very welcome.

For such a wonderful hidden gem in Sidi Bou Said, the pricing was very affordable for the restaurant's quality, 5-star service and mouthwatering food. Great value!

We can't wait to try Dar Zarrouk again while staying in Tunis, trying more delights on their menu and enjoying another fabulous lazy lunch or dinner experience.

Thank you to all the team at Dar Zarrouk for making us feel so welcome; we look forward to seeing you soon!
