Budva is a town in Montenegro on the Adriatic Sea.
It's part of the Budva Riviera and is known for its sandy beaches and nightlife.
Stone walls built by the Venetians surround the narrow streets of the medieval old town (Stari Grad).
It's heavily built up, with no town planning strategy. Sometimes, you feel like you're in Thailand, with cheap tourist souvenir shops and poor infrastructure. With the rate of development, I don't expect this to improve in the immediate future.
The beaches are beautiful; however, they were visited in the off-season, so I doubt they could handle the volume of visitors.
